India's Historic Win at Lord's Cricket Ground

After three decades, the Indian team managed to clinch a victory against England at Lord’s cricket ground.  Deadly spell by Indian pace bowler Ishant Sharma helped the team to demolish the English team by 95 runs and take a valuable lead in the five test matches series.

England started the day with a very comfortable start. M Ali and Joe Root were pursuing the target slowly and steadily. Just before the lunch, Ishant Sharma gave a very crucial break through to the team. He got the wicket of Moen Ali who made 39 runs.

The bouncers by Ishant Sharma did not the English batsmen to play their strokes. Matt Prior (12) deposited the mistimed pull to Murali Vijay specifically stationed at deep mid-wicket boundary for that shot. Ben Stokes added another 0 in his scorebook.

The time when Stuart Broad caught to Dhoni, Ishant Sharma broke the record of Amar Singh. He had taken 6 wickets at Lords, but Ishant got 7 wickets in the inning. For the Indian captain Dhoni, it will be one of his happiest moments having received a lot of flak for losing eight Test matches overseas in England and Australkia during the 2011-12 season.
